The Graham Norton Show returns with Tony Curtis and Kevin Bacon
New season starts Thursday 17 April, 9.00 pm, BBC Two
Tonight screen legend Tony Curtis and Hollywood A-lister Kevin Bacon join Graham Norton for the first edition of the new run of his eponymous prime-time series The Graham Norton Show on BBC Two.
Tony Curtis admits to using Botox: "Yes, I've tried it, it helps to eliminate lines."
Kevin Bacon reveals he was rejected by Playboy: "I always dreamed of being one of the Playboy interviews. I finally got the call two years ago, I was thrilled to finally make it, but two weeks later I was out. At that moment I realised I was too old."
He also talks about movie sex etiquette: "People don't use as much tongue any more, that saddens me! It's a very empty feeling; back in the Eighties things were totally different."
On the Hollywood PR machine, he says: "I think studios orchestrate things, set up situations so that they can get out there. Fame is addictive."
And on Footloose: "It was probably a good thing but I didn't appreciate it at the time." It may be remade as a musical "but I don't know who I'd play [now]."
Tony Curtis reminisces about his handsome heyday and his affair with Marilyn Monroe: "On Some Like It Hot the costume designer told her 'Tony Curtis has a better ass than you'."
And on being copied by Elvis, he says: "There was a pressure then to look good, it was unnatural but I didn't mind ... I found later that Elvis based his looks on me."
Plus, there's music from Robyn performing her new single Who's That Girl live in the studio.
The Graham Norton Show is a So Television production for BBC Two.
