Five Live Football Daily podcast launched
Tim Lovejoy joins 606
BBC Radio Five Live will carry commentary on more Premier League football than any
other UK broadcaster in the new 2007-8 football season.
And Five Live will also feature commentary on Champions League, FA Cup, the
Coca Cola Football League, internationals and Carling Cup matches on Five Live and
its sister digital station BBC Five Live Sports Extra.
Five Live and Sports Extra will have an average of six Premier League commentary games per week – a massive 192 live commentary games over the
season.
The season kicks off with the Community Shield on Sunday 5 August as Chelsea
take on Manchester United at the new Wembley Stadium.
Commentary comes
from Ian Brown and John Murray with Mark Lawrenson.
On the 606 phone-in Spoony takes
callers giving their early take on the first forays into the new season
from 6pm.
In addition, from Sunday to Thursday, the Five Live football daily podcast will provide a complete round-up of the day's football news and post-match
comment after the day's action.
The Five Live Football Daily, voiced by Mark
Saggers, the host of Five Live Sport, will be available Sunday to Thursday from

Tim Lovejoy joins 606 as the new host of the biggest football phone-in
