30,000 sign Alan Johnston petition

An online petition calling for the release of Alan Johnston, BBC Gaza Correspondent, has received around
30,000 signatures - an increase of around 20,000 following coverage of
yesterday's day of action.
The petition is being hosted by the Have Your Say page on the BBC News website.
It will remain open indefinitely and can be found at
bbcnews.co.uk/haveyoursay.
The 20,000 names are currently being added (Friday 5.30pm UK time) and will be online shortly.
Alan Johnston was abducted on 12 March 2007.
