Film 2006: viewers vote Casino Royale top film

On the back of huge critical acclaim and global box office receipts exceeding $450m, the triumphant return of James Bond has
been capped by the success of Casino Royale winning the title of Film of
the Year from viewers of BBC One's Film 2006 With Jonathan Ross.
Having visited Bond sets in the Bahamas and Buckinghamshire, Jonathan Ross
was delighted last night to see his own enthusiasm for Casino
Royale being matched by the voters.
"Daniel Craig is a magnificent Bond," said Jonathan, "and Casino Royale is a
daring and spectacular success."
Featuring both blockbuster hits and acclaimed art-house movies, the viewers'
