Siobhan Finneran is Beverley Clarke

 

New to politics, Beverley is a partner is a law firm in Huddersfield, until she gets bowled over by Ros Pritchard's appearance on the political scene and decides to stand for election.

 

She initially finds Westminster daunting but Liz Shannon soon helps her find her feet, and a few political watering holes along the way.

 

But how will she find the pressure of being an MP?

 

Siobhan Finneran – Biography

 

Siobhan Finneran made her acting debut 20 years ago (1986) as the eponymous Rita in Alan Clarke's Rita, Sue and Bob Too.

 

Since then she has appeared as Julie O'Neill in Paul Abbott's Clocking Off; with James Nesbitt in Passer By; and in Wuthering Heights update Sparkhouse, starring Joseph McFadden.

 

She also appeared with Christopher Eccleston in the King And Us; and has had roles in Blood Strangers, with Caroline Quentin; Terry Pratchett's Johnny and the Bomb; Harold Shipman docu-drama Shipman; and ITV comedy drama Bob & Rose.

 

The Lancashire-born actress has appeared in both Coronation Street and Emmerdale.

 

She has also had roles in long-running TV dramas such as Dalziel and Pascoe; Heartbeat; Casualty and Peak Practice.
