I'm With Stupid by Danny Peak
Alan Martin plays Graham
Alan Martin plays Graham who communicates with a Voice Communication Aid. From hosting poker games against the rules to charging an entry fee to Bramble Lodge craft fair and pocketing the cash, Graham shows he has a talent for scheming.
Alan was born in Liverpool and brought up in Widnes, Ellesmere
Port and the Wirral.
He got his first Voice Communication Aid as a result of his friends raising
around £10,000. It has made a huge difference to his life, enabling him to live more independently and take further education. He studied at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts.
Alan runs his own business, providing dance workshops and also giving presentations on a range of disability issues.
Alan originally auditioned for the part of Syd in the pilot of I'm With Stupid. Although he wasn't right for that part, the producers were so impressed with his delivery that they decided to create an extra character, Graham.
On his character he says: "Graham is a lot like me. He is a bit cheeky with a
good sense of humour, but very likeable. He is continually trying to broaden
his knowledge. And he loves Anne Robinson!"
