Production team and episode one synopsis


Executive producer - Julian Murphy

 

Julian graduated from Cambridge and worked as a director in theatre before going to Yorkshire TV as a script editor.

 

He later moved to Central where he worked on Boon, Inspector Morse and a number of other shows.

 

While at Central he developed the ITV hit Peak Practice and was the story editor on the first two series. Julian co-founded the production company, Ikona, which made The Vet for BBC ONE.

 

Later he joined the BBC as Executive Producer working on a number of programmes including the award-winning Preston Front, Dalziel & Pascoe and Dangerfield. He went on to produce the first series of Scarlet Pimpernel films for the BBC and A&E Network in America.

 

Before joining Shine, Julian produced the first two series of hit teen show As If, and the American version for Sony and UPN in Los Angeles.

 

Since joining Shine as Creative Director, Julian has executive produced two series of the hugely popular Hex for Sky and two seasons of the hit series Sugar Rush for Channel 4.

 

Executive producer - Johnny Capps

 

After graduating from the University of Manchester, Johnny began his career working as a script editor for Paul Abbott.

 

He later moved to the BBC as Development Executive, working on a number of productions including The Scarlet Pimpernel and Dangerfield.

 

Following this he was a story editor on Peak Practice and Lock, Stock and Four Stolen Hooves (written by Guy Ritchie), Lock, Stock ... the series, and the first series of As If.

 

Before joining Shine in February 2002, Johnny was the producer on the third series of As If, and as a co-producer on the American version.

 

Since joining Shine as Head of Development, Johnny has produced the two series of Hex for Sky and two seasons of the hit series, Sugar Rush for Channel 4.

 

Writer - Lucy Watkins

 

After graduating from Hull in 1997, Lucy Watkins became a script editor at Carnival Films. She worked on 56 episodes of the award-winning series of As If before becoming a full time writer in 2002.

 

Since then she has worked on Sugar Rush (2005) for Channel 4 and Hex (2004 & 2005) for Sony Pictures Europe and Sky.

 

Writer - Julian Jones

 

Julian Jones has worked with Shine Limited on a number of projects in the past, including Hex and As If. His television writing credits also include The Bill, The Knock, Soldier Soldier and Taggart.

 

Director - Brian Grant

 

Brian Grant founded Millaney Grant Productions, which grew into MGMM, one of London's most successful production companies.

 

He left England for Los Angeles in 1990 after being offered a first-look deal with Universal Studios where he made a number of high profile films and TV dramas (Sweet Poison, Mann & Machine and Darkman).

 

Since returning to the UK in 1997 he has worked continuously, mainly in TV drama.

 

In 2000 he co-created As If, the critically acclaimed teen drama for Channel 4. The first and second series have been sold to more than 25 countries.

 

His directing credits include an episode of Doctor Who for BBC Wales in 2005, Clocking Off (nominated for best drama in 2004) for BBC and Lucy Sullivan is Getting Married, an ITV drama in 1999.

 

Episodes three and four directed by Philip John

 

Philip John's writing credits for television include Murphy's Law, Chosen and Sister Lulu.

 

Episode one

 

Life sometimes hinges on the slightest twist of fate. If sometime porn site journalist and full-time charmer Nathan had never met the woman with two vaginas, he never would have ended up in bed with his best mate's girlfriend Fi....

 

And Fi's boyfriend Jase would never have had the shockingly eventful evening which makes Nathan think he doesn't know his best mate very well at all.

 

It's a night out which will change the rest of their lives as Nathan struggles to cope with the guilt of what he's done. But that's not his only problem – his porn baroness boss Peggy wants the woman with two vaginas to bare all on camera and it's Nathan's job to make it happen...
