Ideal was the first co-venture between BBC Comedy North
and Baby Cow Productions and the first series to be commissioned from
BBC Comedy North in Manchester.
It was launched in October
2003 with a brief to nurture the next generation of comedy talent
across the North of England.
Executive Producers are Kenton Allen, the BBC's Creative
Head of Comedy Talent and BBC Comedy North, and Henry Normal, co-founder
of Baby Cow Productions.
