More than 12,000 more people are tuning in to BBC Oxford 95.2FM today than last year - and they are listening for longer, according to RAJAR figures for the first quarter of 2005.

"It's a huge endorsement and vote of confidence from the people of Oxfordshire for the new services and presenters on 95.2FM," says Executive Editor Steve Taschini.

"We have worked hard for more than a year to craft programmes that licence payers asked us for.

"It's really pleasing to see that collaboration rewarded with their support. However, we will continue to listen carefully to feedback and develop our services accordingly in the hope of reaching even more listeners in future."
