House of Tiny Tearaways
Ellie and family

The House of Tiny Tearaways

Family Ten: Behaviour

Alan (54), Julie (38) and Ellie (two) from Rochdale

Ellie is very spoilt; she will kick off if rushed or asked to do something she doesn't want to and whenever she doesn't get her own way or is told no.

She is difficult at mealtimes, bedtimes and when she's getting dressed. At these key points in the day she will kick up a major fuss. This ends in shouting, kicking and tears.

Ellie has no fixed routine for eating or sleeping and Alan and Julie are finding it very hard to implement one.

They both hate the idea of upsetting Ellie, so they cater to her every whim for the sake of a quiet life.

There is a 16-year age gap between Alan and Julie and although Alan has a grownup family, Ellie is Julie's first child.

Alan is a long-distance lorry driver so is away a lot and Julie is a dinner lady. Julie finds that Alan does very little in the way of bringing up Ellie and she's finding it hard to manage alone.

Alan sings in pubs, loves karaoke and used to travel the UK in a comedy duo with his nephew.
