The BBC has launched its first ever marketing campaign across the West
Bank, promoting the availability of BBC Arabic on partner station, Radio
Bethlehem 2000, 89.6 FM.
The strapline running throughout the three-month-long jointly branded
campaign is 'BBC Arabic on Radio Bethlehem 2000 - together we enrich
The advertising campaign, featuring two hands cupping a globe that
focuses on the Middle East, can be seen on billboards in high-profile
areas in Jerusalem, Ramallah and Bethlehem.
West Bank commuters can also see the campaign on buses branded with
the design and in advertisements placed in Al Quds newspaper.
Radio Bethlehem 2000 listeners can hear 12 hours a day of BBC programming,
in Arabic and English.

Radio Bethlehem 2000 is a privately owned Bethlehem-based FM station
established in 1996. The station offers a mix of music, social programmes,
local and international news primarily in Arabic with a small amount
of French and English.
It airs BBC Arabic programming at 2.00-4.00am; 5.00-9.00am; 4.00-5.00pm;
6.00-7.00pm; 9.00-10.00pm and 11.00pm-midnight.
BBC World Service programming in English is transmitted between 3.00pm
and 4.00pm, and 1.00am to 2.00am.
