Sara said: "I'm looking forward to being back, I've really missed being on the radio.

"I'm going to do my best not to burst into nursery rhymes although The Wheels On The Bus is an old school classic."

Following a very successful start on the station, JK & Joel will move to the prestigious Sunday afternoon slot.

They will host a brand new chart show that will mix their unique take on the world with new download, album and single charts.

Ben Cooper, Head Of Mainstream Programming, said of the changes: "It's going to be great to have Sara back and it gives JK & Joel a chance to breathe new life into what remains the biggest single show on the station.

"Sara's wish to move to weekends means that Scott can continue to build on the great work he has been doing on weekday drivetime."

Andy Parfitt, Controller, Radio 1, said: "We are beginning to reap the benefits of the changes we initiated towards the end of last year. These latest moves are simply part of the continuing evolution of the station."

Notes to Editors

The changes to the schedule will take effect from 5 February 2005.

Scott Mills drivetime show is weekdays, 4.00-7.00pm.

Wes Butters, current host of The Official Chart Show, will leave the station in February 2005.

Vernon Kay has signed a further one year contract with Radio 1.
