On Monday 9 August, BBC Hereford and Worcester presenters Katie Smith and Dave 'Bradders' Bradley are going to shake-up the station's schedule with some new and exciting features as they swap shows and take on their new weekday roles.

Katie is taking control of the mid-morning programme, which aside from focusing on topical consumer issues will have a new nature strand called It's Your Shout.

Katie, who trained at agriculture college before turning her hand to broadcasting, will look to encourage the public to call in with issues they feel need to be addressed.

In addition to this, Katie and the team will bring listeners up-to-the minute reports on local events as they happen.

Katie says: "I want people to know they can ring up and get things off their chest, it's their programme and it's essential that they get involved."

Dave, the original local lad, is going back to his roots as he takes over the highly entertaining afternoon show.

From 1.00pm each day, Dave will treat listeners to a fascinating insight into the world of arts and entertainment.

The show will also be packed full of great music, competitions and a wide array of guests.

Dave says of his new slot: "I'm looking forward to returning to the show I was fronting a few years ago; chatting to the wealth of celebrities who'll be dropping into the studio and letting the listeners know what's going on in the area."

James Coghill, BBC Hereford and Worcester Managing Editor, adds: "The station continues to be the local radio market leader across Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

"The new line-up will give us a fresh new sound with presenters who we know are hugely popular with our audience."

Katie Smith's Mid-Morning show, 10.00am–1.00pm, weekdays, and Dave Bradley's Afternoon show, 1.00-4.00pm, weekdays, from Monday 9 August

BBC Hereford and Worcester broadcasts on 104, 104.6 & 94.7FM
