The Long Firm

BBC Drama Serials

The Long Firm is the latest in a string of dramas from BBC Drama Serials that reflect the diversity and range of dramas across BBC Television.

On BBC TWO this year these have included Every Time You Look At Me and Hawking plus The Alan Clark Diaries on BBC FOUR/BBC TWO.

Most recently on BBC ONE there was Andrew Davies' He Knew He Was Right; the BAFTA Award-winning Charles II – The Power & The Passion; England Expects, Passerby; Auf Weidereshen Pet; and Debbie Horsfield's popular series Cutting It which returns next year for a fourth series.

Finally this autumn there is Sandy Welch's Victorian love story North and South, an adaptation of the Elizabeth Gaskell novel; Pete Bowker's Blackpool, a darkly comic musical thriller about one man's ambition set in the Las Vegas of the North; A Thing Called Love, Billy Ivory's signature drama about love and sex; and Pride, a magical and dramatic tale of love and survival on the plains of Africa.

Laura Mackie is Head of BBC Drama Serials.
