Bacon to host Late Night Live on Radio Five Live

Richard
Bacon is to become the full time host of the Late Night Live discussion
programme on BBC Radio Five Live, it was announced today (10 February).
The
former Blue Peter and Big Breakfast presenter was on Radio Five
Live over Christmas in his first radio job on a national network.
Richard
Bacon - who recently presented on BBC THREE with fellow Five Live
presenter Johnny Vaughan - has been contracted for 12 months and
takes the programme into a crucial period for Radio Five Live with
the Euro 2004 tournament and the Olympics driving audience.
Commenting
on his new role Richard Bacon said: "I love Radio Five Live
and this is a superb opportunity to take to the national airwaves.
There's a real intimacy about late night shows and I'm delighted
to have been given this opportunity."

Five Live Controller Bob Shennan said: "Late Night Live is
a great vehicle for Richard's talents. His youth and energy will
develop what is already a cult late night programme."
