Synopsis

Machiavellian Charles (Stephen Fry) and cynical Martin (John Bird)
run a blue-chip London PR firm, Prentiss McCabe.
The
PR maestros head up a team of ambitious young agents who work in
the dark art of repackaging black as white.
The
company's client list ranges from ambitious bishops and irate chefs
to aspiring shadow ministers.
Whether it's defending a comedian caught beating up his girlfriend
in the IKEA car park or deflecting attention from a TV historian
accused of faking his programme evidence, the company's mantra is
that the public will swallow anything, just as long as it's made
palatable.
And
that's where Prentiss McCable excel. Exposing the collusion between
press and PR, while holding up a mirror to today's celebrity obsessed
times.
The
series includes cameos from the celebrity world of sport and television
including Phillip Schofield and Fern Britton, Anneka Rice, Huw Edwards,
Angus Deayton, Kirsty Wark, Mark Lawson, Dermot Murnaghan, Ray Stubbs,
Anthea Turner and Gareth Hunt.
