Neil
Pearson is Trevor Heslop, sports agent to the stars, in a new Andy
Hamilton comedy for BBC ONE - Trevor's World Of Sport

Trevor's
World Of Sport starts on Friday 15 August, BBC ONE at 9.30pm
From
15 September, the series will transmit on Mondays
Trevor
Heslop, sports agent to the stars, is married to his job. But it's
not a happy marriage.
One
of his clients is going mad and the rest are driving Trevor mad.
Welcome
to Trevors World Of Sport, a brand new comedy for BBC ONE
starring Neil Pearson as Trevor, a decent man trying to do the right
thing in a world full of cut-throats.
And
the biggest cut-throat is his unscrupulous business partner, Sammy,
played by Paul Reynolds.
Together,
they own TS Sportstars, an agency that promotes the careers of an
assortment of self-obsessed, overpaid morally-challenged sporting
heroes.
Staffing
the agency is a small team of put-upon grafters.
There's
Barry (Abdul Salis), the office junior who would like to be
less junior.
There's
Heidrun (Cosima Shaw), the beautiful, highly intellectual, German
lesbian receptionist, who takes calls with one hand and
fights off unwelcome advances with the other.
There's
god-fearing Theresa (Rosalind Ayres) who frequently
stops conversations with pearls of inappropriate Christian wisdom.
And
there's Ralph (Mike Fenton Stevens).
In
fact, every day there's Ralph, the attention-seeking client who
brings chaos to Trevor's world.
Trevor's
personal life is no less chaotic. His estranged wife, Meryl (Claire
Skinner), is getting a little too friendly with a poet, much to
the distress of their son,Toby (Matthew Thomas), who is taking out
his feelings on his dad.
Can
Trevor save his marriage? Can he keep his integrity in the jungle
of sporting commercialism? Or is it time for him to start again
on both fronts?
Trevor's
World Of Sport is a Hat Trick Production for BBC ONE and starts
on Friday 15 August 2003.
It
is written and directed by Andy Hamilton (Drop The Dead Donkey and
Bedtime) and produced by Sue Howells.
