CBBC's Dick and Dom coming to BBC ONE this autumn

Dick and Dom

Dick and Dom, The CBBC Channel's anarchic duo, are coming to BBC ONE on Saturday mornings this autumn, CBBC Controller Dorothy Prior announced today (Friday 6 June).

The move is part of Prior's strategy for the CBBC schedule this autumn.

Dick & Dom in da Bungalow, an energetic, stunt-filled start to the weekend presented by Richard McCourt and Dominic Wood, is one of The CBBC Channel's most popular shows.

It will be simulcast on BBC ONE and The CBBC Channel on Saturday mornings this autumn, while the successful Saturday Show, with Fearne Cotton and Simon Grant, takes a break until spring.

On BBC ONE Dick and Dom will be followed by Top of the Pops Saturday, which continues with Fearne Cotton presenting.

Dorothy Prior, CBBC Controller, said: "I believe it's important to try new things in the schedule and I'm pleased to announce that Dick & Dom in da Bungalow is coming to BBC ONE this autumn, giving all young viewers a chance to enjoy the unique talent of two of CBBC's rising stars.

"I've been really delighted with the success of The Saturday Show which will be on air until early autumn, returning in the spring.

"Fearne (Cotton) remains a key part of CBBC's weekend line-up presenting Top of Pops Saturday and Smile throughout the autumn."

Simon Grant will continue presenting on CBBC throughout the autumn.
