Charles Kennedy MP to host Have I Got News For You


The leader of the Liberal Democrats, Charles Kennedy MP, is to host the penultimate show in the current series of Have I Got News For You, to be broadcast on 13 December 2002.


Charles Kennedy has appeared on the topical news quiz on six previous occasions but this will be the first time he has acted as host. He will donate his fee for the appearance to a charity of his choice.


Have I Got News For You is in its 24th series and this series has featured special guest hosts including Anne Robinson, Paul Merton and John Seargent. Paul Merton and Ian Hislop are the regular team captains.


This week's episode (Friday 29 November, 9.30pm, BBC ONE) will feature Boris Johnson MP as host with guests Clive Anderson and Stephen K Amos.

Have I Got News For You is a Hat Trick Production for BBC ONE. It is produced by Steve Doherty, the series producer is Nick Martin and the executive producer is Colin Swash.
