BBC 7 - the best in BBC comedy, drama and books plus a daily live show for kids

BBC7, the fifth and final digital radio network from the BBC, launches on Sunday 15 December 2002.

Jez Edwards and Kirsten O'Brien will present Big Toe, a daily two hour programme for 9-11 year olds
BBC 7 is pure entertainment and features the best in BBC comedy, drama and books, plus a daily live show for kids – the first ever on radio.

The first day's broadcast features a two-hour special hosted by Paul Merton, Merton's Magnificent 7, showcasing BBC 7 and simulcast on BBC Radio 4 (8.00 to 10.00pm).
