HARDtalk: Canon Andrew White

On BBC News 24's HARDtalk tonight (Monday 11 November), Tim Sebastian interviews Canon Andrew White, the Archbishop of Canterbury's Special Representative to the Middle East.

The United Nations Security Council remains the focus of international diplomatic efforts to force Iraq to disclose its weapons of mass destruction.

But as the threat of war remains as real as ever, could a pre-emptive strike by the United States and its allies be justified on moral or religious grounds?

Canon Andrew White is the Archbishop of Canterbury's Special Representative to the Middle East and a peace campaigner.

Tim Sebastian asks him if military action is the only threat that Saddam Hussein will understand.

Notes to Editors

HARDtalk is broadcast on BBC News 24, Monday to Friday at 10.30pm, and is repeated Tuesday to Saturday at 2.30am.
