This year's Contest promises to be as colourful as ever, with entrants including a group of transvestites from Slovenia and Russia's answer to Take That!

To celebrate, the BBC has a host of programmes in the run-up to the Contest, including Not Another Eurovision, in which Angus Deayton takes a wry look back at some of the best moments in the illustrious history of the world's most notorious music competition on BBC ONE.

BBC TWO also goes Eurovision crazy with a Never Mind The Buzzcocks Eurovision Special featuring Terry Wogan, Johnny Logan, Cheryl Baker and Sonia and BBC CHOICE celebrates
with the return of the Eurovision Preview Shows, which have not been shown by the BBC since 1994. Liquid Eurovision is shown nightly in the week before the contest and features all the latest news from Estonia and previews all the songs. On the night, there will be a five-hour Eurovision party with special studio guests and in-depth analysis of the competition.

With coverage also on BBC Radio 2, the nation is sure to be gripped by Eurovision fever and united in its support for Jessica, whose single, Come Back, is released on Monday 13 May.

Kevin Bishop is the executive producer of the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 and Dominic Smith is the producer.
