Dr Alice Roberts is the presenter of two series of Dr Alice Roberts: Don't Die Young, BBC Two's friendly and informative guide to anatomy and health.
She also wrote the book that accompanies the series.
She is currently filming another series on early human migrations out of Africa, titled Human Journey. This will be shown on BBC Two in 2009.
Other television work includes appearing as a bone expert on Channel 4's Time Team and Extreme Archaeology, and as co-presenter of BBC Two's immensely popular Coast series.
Dr Alice Roberts is a qualified medical doctor and has a PhD in palaeopathology (the study of disease in ancient skeletons).
