Over several years Robin has been a regular guest presenter and commentator for BBC television, for the European and World Figure Skating Championships and the 2006 Winter Olympics.
Bristol-born Robin won his first National title aged 12 as a Novice; he was Junior Champion at 14 and made his international debut that same year. He represented Great Britain as an amateur skater for eight years, winning the National Senior Championships for three consecutive years.
He won the World Free Skating Championship gold medal three times and his amateur ice skating career culminated in winning the European Championship gold and the Olympic gold at Lake Placid in the USA in 1980.
A highly successful career as a professional skater followed and in 2000, Robin formed his own theatre and event production company, called Cousins Entertainment Ltd. For his services to sport and skating, Robin was awarded the MBE in 1980.
