Ken was a professional golfer until 1992, before he began his career as a commentator. During his golfing years, Ken played in five Ryder Cups (1977, 1979, 1983, 1985 and 1987), won four times on the European Tour and in his best season in 1978 he finished fourth on the European Tour Order of Merit at the age of 21.

 

He commentated for Sky Sports on the US and European tours from 1992 to 2000. In April 2000 Ken joined the BBC golf team where he is both a commentator and on-course reporter. Ken also regularly writes a column for the golf section of the BBC Sport website.
