Jonathan began working for BBC Sport long-term in 1997. Regarded as one of the all-time greats in both rugby union and rugby league, Jonathan is now in huge demand as a TV pundit.
Jonathan kicked off his international career in style, scoring a try and dropping a goal in a 24-15 Five Nations victory over England, and he was then prominent as Wales secured their first Triple Crown for nine years.
He proved himself an exceptional player with Wigan Rugby League club – twice being voted Rugby League’s player of the year by his fellow professionals – and in 1995, Davies transferred back to Cardiff in the Union code, resurrecting his international career.
