Jill has worked in news and sport throughout her career and is an experienced rugby reporter and presenter. She became the first female presenter of Rugby Special when working for BBC Scotland in 1997.
During her time with Sky Sports, Jill presented Sports News and was also involved in their extensive coverage of southern hemisphere rugby and European athletics.
Since re-joining BBC in March 2003, Jill has presented rugby as well as bowls, and has also followed the success of Britain's cyclists in recent years. She was part of the presentation team at the Athens Olympics and Paralympics, as well as being involved in BBC Sport’s Wimbledon coverage.
Jill grew up on the family farm near Hawick in the Scottish Borders and is a lifelong supporter of Hawick Rugby Club. Her career began in local newspapers in the Borders and she studied journalism at Napier College in Edinburgh.
