Dublin-born Craig started his career as a journalist and producer for BBC Radio Suffolk; his television breakthrough came with Tomorrow’s World in 1996. He then spent six years hosting the BBC travel show Holiday. In 2004, he began hosting The Craig Doyle Show, an Irish travel and celebrity programme.
He first moved into sport journalism working for BBC Sport at Wimbledon and also reported on the Six Nations, Open Golf and British Superbikes. He has also presented Sunday Grandstand. A keen sports fan, Craig has a long-standing interest in motor sports.
