Charlie Cox commentates on MotoGP. He started working for the BBC in 1996, commentating alongside the legendary Murray Walker on the British Touring Car Championship.

A two-time Class A British Saloon Car champion and Class A British GT champion, he then moved on to the BTCC before his career was curtailed by a serious crash at Thruxton in 1995. He has also competed in the World GT series and the famous Bathurst 1000.

Charlie was born in Sydney, Australia, and began his career in radio. In 1990 he moved to the UK to continue his broadcasting career and motorsports interests and became chief executive of the worldwide broadcasting division of the Daily Mail group.

Charlie is known to MotoGP fans for his many commentary catchphrases, including "revs are up, ready for a start" shortly before the racing starts.
