Tom Morton

Presenter, Radio Scotland's weekday afternoon show

Tom Morton hosts BBC Radio Scotland's weekday afternoon show – a mix of eclectic chat, strange tales and the best of classic and contemporary music.

Tom has presented various shows for the BBC over the past decade.

In addition, he is an author, bad musician, cyclist, whisky connoisseur (or an enthusiastic drinker, at least), blogger and award-winning newspaper columnist.

He lives in the Shetland Islands, where he keeps a variety of animals and is a registered crofter.

Most of Tom's working life has been spent in newspaper journalism, notably for the Scotsman and The Shetland Times.

In addition he has published eight books, including four novels.

He has also recorded three albums, masqueraded as the satirical singer Blind Boy Flugga, and driven a lot of very expensive cars for the motoring TV show Wheelnuts.

He currently owns an old camper van and seven bicycles.
