Mhairi Stuart joined the BBC as a trainee journalist in 1990.
Since then, she has produced and presented most of BBC Radio Scotland's news programmes, picking up a Sony Award for Good Morning Scotland and producing award-winning coverage of the Dunblane shootings.
She was awarded BT Scotland Radio Presenter of the Year in 1999.
Mhairi currently presents the lunchtime and afternoon news programmes, Scotland Live and Newsdrive.
Born in Glasgow, Mhairi went from Cleveden Secondary School to study politics at Glasgow University before joining the BBC.
When she's not on air Mhairi spends her time playing tennis, sailing, and being terrorised by her three young children.
