Geoff Webster (45) presents sports news on the station's
flagship news and current affairs programme Good Morning Scotland
as well as covering sport for television's Reporting Scotland.
Born
in Aberdeen, his background is firmly rooted in journalism, having
worked on local newspapers in Ayrshire before he moved to commercial
radio in Aberdeen and then to the BBC in Edinburgh.
He is a former
executive producer of Radio Sport and a senior producer at
BBC Radio Tweed in Selkirk.
Geoff also had a spell as public relations
officer to the five Scottish racecourses. Not surprisingly,
he lists horse racing as one of his hobbies, along with golf.
