Andrea Miller returned to BBC Scotland in April 2002 as Head of Factual.
Since then Factual Scotland has produced programmes across a broad
range of subjects and for the full spectrum of BBC channels.
A 50 per cent increase in output has seen long-running strands such
as Film 2004, Hollywood Greats, Time Flyers, Sex, Warts And All and
Days That Shook The World joined by landmark programming such as Restoration
and Britain's Best Buildings and popular factual programmes such as
Tabloid Tales and Get A New Life.
She was an executive producer in the BBC's London Arts department from
1994 until 2002.
During this time her credits included: The Late Show; the award winning
strands The Works and Close Up; landmark series such as Art That Shook
The World and Changing Stages, BBC TWO's history of theatre (written
and presented by Sir Richard Eyre and co-produced with WNET in New York
and ABC Australia); single documentaries like The Biggest Wheel in the
World, the story of London's Millennium Wheel (with Discovery Channel);
a three-part drama documentary on the life and work of Charles Dickens
and an award winning feature length documentary David Hockney's Secret
Knowledge.
