Julian Worricker presents his Sunday morning show on BBC Radio 5 Live between 10.00am and 1.00pm every week.

 

Born in Surrey on 6 January 1963, Julian was educated at Epsom College, and went on to study English Literature at Leicester University.

 

Julian joined BBC Radio Leicester as a staff reporter in 1985 and joined BBC Midlands Today as a TV presenter in 1988.

 

He rejoined Radio Leicester as News Editor in January 1989, in the week of the M1 air disaster.

 

He moved in 1991 to join the then recently born Radio 5 and presented Five Aside, the evening magazine programme.

 

Julian joined 5 Live at its inception in 1994 as a newsreader and reporter and went on to mainstream presentation with the Weekend Breakfast Programme, and Fridays on the drivetime show, Nationwide.

 

He joined Victoria Derbyshire to present Radio 5 Live's breakfast programme, 5 Live Breakfast (Mondays to Fridays, 6.00-9.00am) in 1998.

 

5 Live Breakfast won a Gold at the 1999 Sony Radio Awards, and the Television and Radio Industries Club Awards best radio programme in 1999.

 

Julian also won a Gold Sony Award in 1997 for 5 Live's Nationwide.
