Conor joined BBC Radio 5 Live in 2002 as a football commentator, and is a regular fixture in the 5 Live football team.

His first ever commentary was the FA Cup final in 1997 for Irish national radio. At the time he was just a reporter, but someone pulled out on the Thursday before the final and he got the call, and kept the job after that!

In 1998, he did his first commentary on national television for TV3 when the Republic of Ireland played Yugoslavia. He continued to commentate for the station and also took over a presenting role until joining 5 Live.

Conor studied at Salford University and has a post-graduate diploma in Business Studies from University College, Dublin. He has written widely on sport for the Irish Press.

He lives in Limerick, Ireland.
