Paddy O'Connell presents Broadcasting House, BBC Radio 4's Sunday morning news programme.

 

For six years he was the BBC Wall Street correspondent, and anchored the coverage from New York of the attacks on the USA of September 2001.

 

Other credits include Liquid News, Hardtalk Extra, and Flashmob: The Opera, which won awards from the Royal Television Society and the Music Category of the Rose D'Or festival.

 

For five years, he has hosted the Semi-Final of the Eurovision Song Contest, which has failed to win any awards at all.

 

He was hired for the launch of WGBH The World, a Boston-based radio programme for the United States, and the start of BBC Radio 5 Live.

 

He has worked for Channel 4 and LBC 97.3, and was a local radio reporter for five years.
