Jonny Dymond is one of the BBC's Europe Correspondents, based in Brussels.
Prior to his appointment in mid-2005, he was for three-and-a-half years the BBC Istanbul Correspondent, covering stories across Turkey and the Middle East.
Jonny joined the BBC as a researcher on political programmes at Westminster in 1994, before becoming a producer on Newsnight and a number of major live events, including the 1997 General Election.
Following this, he worked as a reporter, first covering British politics for the BBC World Service and World TV, then in 2000 moving to Washington DC.
Educated in London, Jonny read Politics at the University of Durham between 1988 and 1991.
He completed an MSc in Public Administration and Public Policy at the London School of Economics in 1993.
Jonny was born in February 1970 in London.
