Rajan joined fast:track as a presenter for its re-launch in January 2007. As well fronting the programme and reporting, he has written, presented and produced two special fast:track documentaries.
Rajan also presents the acclaimed Over To You programme on BBC World Service, representing the views of an audience of 150 million listeners. In addition he has been a regular features writer for publications such as The Guardian, The Times, the Daily Mail, NME magazine and the Daily Express.
After graduating from Oxford University and the London School of Economics, Rajan began his media career as a radio reporter for the BBC, wrote features and then won a place on the BBC's much sought-after production trainee scheme. He was then asked to be the presenter of the award-winning travel show Rough Guide To The World, and has also worked on Reportage, People's Parliament and The Net.
Rajan’s BBC experiences continued as a reporter on Newsnight and with stints on BBC One’s flagship consumer affairs programme Watchdog, before taking on the varying roles of presenter, reporter and director for the award-winning business show, the Money Programme.
For 20 years he has been a founder-member of a ska, reggae and dub act, "Maroon Town", that have toured 30 countries around the world and released four albums.
Last year he ran a marathon for his favourite charity. His hobbies include football, yoga, cinema and being more juvenile than his children.
