Steve Coogan (I'm Alan Partridge, Tristam Shandy, Happy Endings) returns to BBC AMERICA with Saxondale starring Coogan as ex-roadie, Tommy Saxondale. In his new life, as the owner of a pest control business, ill-tempered Tommy does battle with ants, mice and, occasionally, moths, but also snowboarding idiots, pigeon-loving activists, people who talk about property prices and especially the chatty Stealth Pest Control receptionist, Vicky.
Over seven episodes, Tommy gets his eyesight improved by a prostitute, almost befriends a celebrity, takes down an annoying hippy and experiments with women's makeup.
Saxondale premieres in The Underground, Friday, October 13, 11:00 p.m. ET/8:00 p.m. PT.
BBC AMERICA gets in shape with Fat Friends, an all-new dramedy set among a group of weight watchers who meet every week at a fictional slimming group.
Penned by BAFTA-winning Kay Mellor (Band Of Gold, Playing The Field), Fat Friends follows the dietary ambitions of eight characters and delivers a few psychological truths about our obsession with obtaining the perfect shape. It stars some of the UK's top acting talent including Alison Steadman (Confetti, Secrets and Lies), Martin Freeman (Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The Office) and Meera Syal (Bombay Dreams, The Kumars at No. 42).
Fat Friends premieres Thursday, November 2, 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.
The critically acclaimed first season of The Worst Week of My Life explored the hilarious mishaps and nightmares that befell a bride and groom during the week leading up to their wedding.
In season two, having finally made it down the aisle after the worst week of their lives it seems like things are finally going well for Howard (Ben Miller, The Prince And Me, Johnny English) and Mel (Sarah Alexander, Teachers, Coupling). They're about to move into a new home together, and are expecting their first child.
It seems like for once everything is going right! If only life was that simple. The Worst Week of My Life premieres Friday, December 1, 9:40 p.m. ET/6:40 p.m. PT.
BBC AMERICA transports viewers to 2151 in the all-new science fiction comedy, Hyperdrive. The British have launched a fleet of spaceships to explore the galaxy in the only way the British can - with a stiff upper lip and regular tea breaks.
Their mission is to export all things British - including overpriced supermarkets, housing projects and call centers - to all corners of outer space and protect the UK's interests in a changing galaxy.
Heading up the expeditionary force is the HMS Camden Lock, helmed by the optimistic, if slightly deluded, Commander Henderson (Nick Frost, Green Wing, Spaced). Hyperdrive premieres in early 2007.
