Beatrix Potter's Mrs Tiggy-Winkle and Mr Jeremy Fisher and other stories available on DVD

Three beautifully animated stories, based on some of the best-selling children's classics of all time, the Original Peter Rabbit Books™ by Beatrix Potter, will be available on DVD from BBC Worldwide from March 27 2006.


Aimed at four to seven-year-olds, the series features Niamh Cusack (as Beatrix Potter), as well as the voices of Derek Jacobi, Prunella Scales, Richard Wilson, Felicity Kendal, Rik Mayall, Hugh Laurie and many more.


Set in the Lake District, the location which inspired Beatrix Potter and where she wrote many of her books, the DVD features beautiful characters in the style of the original Potter books.


The Tale of Mrs Tiggy-Winkle and Mr Jeremy Fisher

Yet again Lucie loses her pocket handkerchief. In her search for it, she meets Mrs Tiggy-winkle, a kindly (but strangely prickly washerwoman), and Mr Jeremy-Fisher who tells her of his eventful fishing trip.


The Tale of Mr Tod: The Further Adventures of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny

Seven little bunnies go missing and Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny find themselves caught up in a terrible battle between Mr Tod and his unwelcome guest.


The Tale of the Two Bad Mice and Johnny Town-Mouse

Tom Thumb and Hunca Munca create havoc in the doll's house while Johnny Town-Mouse entertains a visitor from the country who has travelled up by mistake in a hamper of vegetables!
