Following the great success of The House of Tiny Tearaways series, a new book to accompany the BBC programme offers eager parents helpful advice from the show's resident clinical psychologist Dr Tanya Byron.
The House of Tiny Tearaways book (BBC Worldwide, £12.99) will be available from 24 November when parents will also be able to catch a new series of the show on BBC THREE, where it will return for an extended six-week run.
In the series, clinical psychologist Dr Tanya Byron throws open the doors of Television's first ever toddler sanctuary to families who can take no more, whose kids scream, kick, swear, won't eat, won't sleep and generally drive their parents up the wall.
Dr Byron dramatically turned around the sleeping, eating and behavioural difficulties of the thirteen families that took up residence in The House of Tiny Tearaways in the first series in May 2005.
In the forthcoming series, she will be presented with a whole new set of problems and families, all hoping that her commonsense methods will work their magic once again.
Dr Tanya Byron is a Consultant Clinical psychologist and has worked in the NHS for 16 years.
Having much experience working and teaching in many areas of mental health and psychology, Tanya specialises in child and adolescent mental health where she treats children and teenagers with psychological, emotional and behavioural difficulties, such as problems with aggression, sleeping or eating. She is also the parenting columnist for The Times.
Her own children are 7 and 10.
Notes to Editors:
The House of Tiny Tearaways is an Outline Productions and BBC Format Entertainment co-production for BBC THREE.
