BBC Magazines will unveil a whole new look to BBC Gardeners' World with its April issue (on-sale 01.03.05) to further assert its position as the market-leading gardening title.
The changes will be the biggest seen in BBC Gardeners' World magazine since its launch in March 1991. Visually stronger with new fonts, layouts and an updated magazine logo, the new style will be a guaranteed eye-catching presence on newsstands.
Every issue from April will be packed with more pages - an additional 100 over the year - and for the first time ever the magazine will be published in a perfect-bound format.
BBC Magazines is investing £1 million to support the title's new look, and marketing activity alone will include cover mounting each Spring issue, a point-of-sale newsstand campaign, national press advertising and direct mail.
BBC Magazines' Gardening Group Publisher Dominic Murray says: "The scale of our investment in BBC Gardeners' World magazine this year reflects our absolute confidence in the new look, the expertise and creativity within our teams - and the importance of this market to BBC Magazines. Our aim is for the magazine to genuinely lead the market and continue to be the No.1 destination for consumers, the gardening trade and key talent."
Adam Pasco, Editor of BBC Gardeners' World says: "The team has worked tirelessly to develop an unbeatable mix of great gardening editorial, from tried and tested shopping advice, to creative ideas for the garden.
"There'll also be a distinct section for topical, practical hands-on advice and a new reader club to further strengthen our relationship with our audience. Ultimately we want to create fun and excitement and our new look April issue will deliver this perfectly. We can't wait for our readers to get their hands on it!"
