BBC Audiobooks Ltd and Cover to Cover Cassettes Ltd are proud to announce that ten of their titles have earned Nielsen Gold & Platinum Audiobook Awards. All five Harry Potter titles along with Lord of the Rings and Hitch Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy have achieved either gold or platinum status due to outstanding sales.
The awards, managed by the SWPA and adjudicated by Nielsen Bookscan – the industry's independent book data collection agency, were launched earlier this year. Gold status is awarded to titles with a retail sales value of £250,000 and over, and Platinum for sales over £750,000.
