Special BBC Match of the Day Euro 2004 magazine

BBC Magazines' is publishing an exciting new Match of the Day magazine guide to this summer's EURO 2004 championships.

BBC Match of the Day EURO 2004 magazine goes on sale 26 May, celebrating the England squad's best chance of winning the championship since their heartbreaking semi-final shoot out appearance with Germany in 1996.

The 132-page magazine, sponsored by T-Mobile, includes an insight into the legend and inspiration of current England Captain, David Beckham; an exclusive interview with former England Captain Tony Adams; the inside line on the rules and regulations – otherwise known as the art of refereeing; and an extensive analysis of England's pursuit of glory.

BBC MOTD EURO 2004 magazine has been produced with the support of BBC television and radio and is designed to complement their extensive coverage of the event to be held in Portugal. Radio presenters Mark Pougatch, Mark Chapman and Jonathan Pearce all feature in the pages of BBC MOTD EURO 2004 plus Match of the Day host Gary Lineker and expert pundit Alan Hansen offer their views on who's most likely to win, which players will emerge as the biggest stars and which foreign players the England team would most benefit from having in the squad!

Says Publisher Adam Waddell: "BBC MOTD EURO 2004 magazine will appeal to all football fans and England supporters. Our title offers a real insight into what England must do to win, who the favourites for the final are and a comprehensive guide to who to watch, when to watch and, of course, how to watch – or listen – on the BBC!"

Garry Martin, Editor of BBC MOTD EURO 2004 magazine thinks we are in for a memorable tournament: "EURO 2004 is heavy on quality. We have some outstanding teams and some exciting players to look forward to. Everyone is tipping France to win but if the England boys are mentally prepared, anything is possible!"

Priced at £3.95 with a print run of 100,000 copies, the magazine will enjoy strong multiple listings at retail and trade marketing activity.
