BBC Magazines launches Disney's Animated Adventures

BBC Magazines and Disney Publishing Worldwide are joining forces to produce a new pre-teen title, Disney's Animated Adventures, launching on 6 August.

Every issue of the 68-page monthly title for 7 to 11 year old boys and girls will coincide with a Disney release. The title will recount the film's story in comic strip format, and official film prints in each issue will offer readers an additional treat.

With a heavy glossy cover and perfect-bound format, Disney's Animated Adventures constitutes a highly collectable set for Disney fans of all ages. Retailing at £2.99, issue one illustrates the tale of Treasure Planet.

Toni Round, Publishing Director, BBC Youth & Children's Magazines, says: "We're thrilled to be extending our relationship with Disney with a title that offers fans a new way of enjoying favourite film moments. Disney's Animated Adventures will be a great addition to our ever-expanding pre-teen portfolio."

Disney's Animated Adventures will sit alongside the four existing Disney magazines in the BBC portfolio - Disney's Comic, Disney's Explorer and Disney Girl, launched by BBC Magazines in 2002, in addition to Disney's Big Time, which transferred to BBC Magazines last year.

Disney's Animated Adventures will be available from all good stockists.
