HUGH: Hi! Today we are looking at the future - and the verb tense is... the Simple Future. We use it to make predictions or to show that we’ve really made up our mind to do something - we’re determined to do it. So that’s today’s subject - the Simple Future.

The Simple Future (or the Future Simple) is made using the word ‘will’ and the infinitive. ‘I will fax you tomorrow’. ’ They will play Manchester United in the final’. It’s as simple as that.

Choose this tense if you want to talk about the future and you want to sound determined.
