Second place certainly wasn’t first loser this week on The Best Time of The Day Show as we celebrated ‘sort-of success stories’ in THE RUNNER UP CUP. And if you could have a heart to heart with your high heels what do you think they would say to you? The result was quite revealing as The Dark Lord’s listeners bared the “soles” of their footwear in THE VIEWS OF YOUR SHOES. Alex also did his bit for the environment by encouraging us to update our wardrobe with the household items that we were otherwise going to throw out in FASHION RASHION…Apple core earrings anyone? Whether your riding gear is recycled or not, you’ll want to don it for when you Ride The Night Horse this week.

If you could ask an Octopus any question what would it be? And have you ever been on a disastrous tour where you've been (gulp) asked to particicpate?! These were the burning topics on the Best Time of the Day Show this week in INTERVIEW WITH AN OCTOPUS and IT'S YOUR SORE TOUR. The Dark Lord also did his best to recall the things he'd once forgotten in FORGET AND REGRET and asked the listeners to do the same...turns out we're quite the nation of absent minds! For all this and more come Ride The Night Horse!

One hot topic of discussion on The Best Time of The Day Shoe this week was the product of a ‘little white lie’ told by Producer Jade ‘The Unnatural’…well it’s wasn’t so much a lie as a withholding of the truth. Anyway the result was GROW YOUR OWN PINNOCHIO NOSE, where the Dark Lord wanted to know about the ‘Fibs’ you’ve told…turns out there’s a lot of pants on fire out there. ‘Celebrity Endorsements’ were also on Alex’s mind this week, so he asked for people to get in touch with their own ‘non celebrity endorsements’ in PROVE YOUR APPROVAL, which resulted in strokes of advertising “genius” like ‘Hair…the less you cut it, the longer it grows’. In other news The Dark Lord delved into people favourite hiding places in THE HIDE GUIDE and channelled his inner Mystic Meg for IT’S A SIGN. So unless you believe this to be all lies Come Ride The Night Horse with us…we believe it’s your destiny!

Whilst flicking through the glossy mags and gossip columns the Dark Lord couldn’t help but notice how so many celebrities are introduced with a FORMER INFORMER, describing something they used to do before their name. But seeing as we already know a lot of these facts already he wanted to know the former informers of his loyal subjects. Alex also delved back into the fashion archives to consider if there were any trends from previous periods that should be given a second chance in RETURN OF THE (RAIN) MAC…could the Elizabethan ‘ruff’ ever make a comeback? And inspired by the Chelsea Flower Show and all the glorious flora and fauna on display this week we started to wonder about whether, beneath their still and silent exterior, there are some flamboyant personalities bursting to get out. So, for FLOWERS POWERS we asked how you think a plant might choose to spend its time if it were able to walk and talk for 24 hours. All this and oh so much more if you Come Ride The Night Horse!
