This year's 15 winners come from a range of musical backgrounds, from performers setting out to create brand new genres, to promoters and producers.

Residency

In order to find our winners, 28 applicants were shortlisted and invited to a two-day residency with representatives from the music industry and the BBC Performing Arts Fund.
