Young People's Musical Theatre

Young People's Musical Theatre

The Young People's Musical Theatre scheme awarded more than £190,000 to a total of 52 not for profit youth theatre groups across the UK.

Groups were awarded a grant to help them realise more ambitious projects or to produce a musical theatre show for the very first time, and to increase their profile by attracting new members and audiences. In order to achieve these goals, the funding was used to provide training and development opportunities for members, to run workshops, or to hire a professional director or choreographer, for example.

From a production of West Side Story in Ely cathedral to a new beatbox musical in Battersea, grants were awarded to a diverse range of projects. We'll be tracking their progress through the blog so keep an eye out for updates.

This grant is now closed.
