Eve

"I get really funny with my brain. I know what I mean but can't explain"

Eve

Christian retreat

Eve

Eve's father, Tim, lives and work in a Christian retreat in Worcestershire. Religion has always been a strong focus in the family's life.

Tragically, her mother, Caroline, died on 18 April 2008. Her family organised a celebration of her life, which was attended by several hundred friends and family who loved her very much.

Eve was conceived naturally after years of unsuccessful IVF treatment.

After Eve's birth, Caroline had postnatal depression. Tim lost his job around the same time, and Caroline's mother died.

Tough time

Eve

In 2005, Tim volunteered to donate a kidney to his brother, Andrew, who was suffering from renal failure.

Caroline was experiencing severe complications with her second pregnancy, so Tim was forced to postpone the operation until after Caroline had given birth.

Holly was born in December 2005. The following April, Tim and Andrew had surgery. The operation was a success and both brothers recovered well.

Eve showed strength and resilience during this time. She's a very able, confident child who's chatty and inquisitive, and looks older than her years. She plays the drums and dances and sings at home as well as in church.
